Red Hot Chili Peppers Lyrics for Every Occasion

• An Instagram account where I take RHCP lyrics out of context in humorous ways.

• I try to post once a week, but I'll admit I'm not consistent with it. (Sometimes it's because I'm busy, sometimes it's because I'm out of ideas.)

Uh... Why?

     I've been a casual Chili Peppers fan for most of my life, but my datemate is a huge fan, so I started getting more into them after the two of us got together. As I dove deeper into their music, there were a couple of things I noticed:

     1) Quantity — As someone who used to only know their biggest hits, and hadn't heard anything prior to their fifth album, I was surprised by the sheer quantity of music they've put out. They had way more songs and albums than I realized.

     2) Variety — The Red Hot Chili Peppers don't really have a theme. If you put every Green Day song into a hat and draw one at random, there is a very high chance that the song in question will be about how religion sucks or how the government sucks. If you do the same with the Beach Boys, there is a very high chance that the song you draw will be about surfing. As much as the memes like to joke about RHCP only singing about California, the scope of their lyrics is actually pretty broad. They cover everything from going for a walk, to losing a pet, to hooking up with a woman while she's on her period.

     One day, as I pondered those two observations, I thought to myself, "Man, I bet there's a Red Hot Chili Peppers lyric for every occasion!" Thus, the idea for this Instagram account was born. RHCP just happened to be the perfect band for such a project, and the concept was too hilarious for me to pass up.
